Description: The wainscoat around the bank consisted of custom-made Arriscraft units in both straight and radiused runs. An intricate application of polished granite from China created the building’s ornate entryway. |

Description: One of Pyramid Masonry’s most ambitious projects to date, The John B. Coleman Library Exterior Repairs at Texas A&M University’s Prairie View campus consisted of taking down approximately 700,000 existing brick to allow for waterproofing repairs and re-facing the entire library with new brick. The scope also consisted of extensive cast stone work, with each of the 3,000-plus pound pieces having to be mechanically hoisted and set into place. |

Julia Ideson Public Library

Description: Located in the heart of downtown Houston, this addition was erected on the south side of the original Julia Ideson Library built in the 1920’s. The entire exterior of the addition consisted of structural CMU block with a brick veneer that seamlessly matched the brick on the original building. Also of note is the ornate cast stone and marble arches and medallions that further enhance the library’s distinguished look. Working in extremely confined spaces and on an accelerated schedule, Pyramid was happy to help complete the project in time for the mayoral farewell party, which was held in the new addition. |
